Volunteer Board Directors Needed for Groundbreaking Social Enterprise
Ageing Without Children CIC (AWOC) is a groundbreaking organisation dedicated to supporting and campaigning on behalf of people over 50 without children through choice, circumstance, infertility, bereavement, estrangement, distance or any other reason.
We are at an exciting stage in our development with plans to expand and develop what we do and as part of this we are looking to grow our Board. We are looking for volunteer part-time executive directors willing to take the lead in key parts of the organisation’s business and with skills in the following areas: change management, finance, marketing, business development and stakeholder engagement.
AWOC is a small organisation (at present a CEO and two other part-time directors plus 20 hours a month administrative support person) and no salaried staff. Board members will need to be able to dedicate 2 to 3 hours per week to the organisation. We would particularly like to appoint a Chair for the Board and a Finance Director. We are keen to diversify our Board and would welcome applications from people of colour, from the LGBTQ community and those with disabilities. Board members will ideally be ageing without children.
All board positions are unsalaried although expenses will be paid.
If you would like to discuss becoming a Board member in more detail or for an information pack, please email Kirsty Woodard (CEO) marked Board Recruitment to email@example.com and we will arrange a telephone call.
Applications should be received by Monday, 5 February 2018. Interviews will be held in Bath on 22nd February and London on 23rd February 2018.
